Yosef Zev Braver is a creator, singer, baal menagen, psychotherapist, and guide for spiritual development, working from a deep connection to the world of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov and to the message of hope, faith, and joy that he brought into the world.
Yosef Zev was born and raised in a Hasidic community in Brooklyn, New York. From a young age, he carried within him an inner search - a thirst for a wider space of soul, truth, and spiritual freedom. His connection to Rebbe Nachman of Breslov became a profound turning point in his life: not merely an attachment to a Hasidic path, but the discovery of a new language for life - a language of prayer, longing, healing, joy, and repair.
Yosef Zev’s very name carries a deep echo of Yosef HaTzaddik - the great dreamer who was not frightened by the distance between vision and reality. Like Yosef, whose dreams were never an escape from the world but a call to its repair, Yosef Zev seeks to transform longing into mission, pain into melody, and personal searching into a language that heals and connects hearts.
Through his journey from Brooklyn to Jerusalem, and through his deep connection to Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, he continues to shape the path of a man of faith, creativity, and vision - one who sees in every soul a lost point that can be brought home, and in every fracture the possibility of a new beginning. His vision does not stop at the borders of community or stage; he seeks to bring into the world a message of faith, hope, and unity - tikkun olam through melody, healing, and light.
After making Jerusalem his home, Yosef Zev began to establish his path as a person working across several circles of influence at once: music, therapy, teaching, guidance, and a broad public-spiritual vision.
As a musician, he creates concept albums, performances, and songs that emerge from worlds of prayer, yearning, inner journey, and connection to the Tzaddik. His singing does not seek merely to entertain, but to awaken - to turn melody into a space where a person can feel, open, remember, and draw closer.
As a therapist and guide, Yosef Zev works with people from around the world through both in-person and virtual sessions. He integrates psychotherapeutic tools, a deep understanding of the human soul, holistic methods, and a broad spiritual vision. In his work, he accompanies individuals, families, educators, mentors, therapists, and seekers who wish to move from places of burden, confusion, or pain toward clarity, connection, and growth.
Beyond music and therapy, Yosef Zev devotes his life to bringing the light of Rebbe Nachman into a language that can reach this generation - and the world at large.
His vision is to establish a universal heritage center dedicated to Rebbe Nachman of Breslov: a living home of study, translation, preservation, experience, research, and accessibility - for Jews and non-Jews alike.
The future center is envisioned to include a publishing and translation institute, a digital archive, historical exhibitions, a visitors’ center, heritage items from the world of Breslov, guided educational experiences, learning content, and immersive encounters that will open before the world the human and universal message of Rebbe Nachman: faith, hope, joy, unity, and inner freedom.
Between the stage and the therapy room, between Brooklyn and Jerusalem, between the world of melody and the world of healing - Yosef Zev is becoming a unique voice for a generation that longs to feel again, to believe again, and to reconnect.
